Fernanda Paula Oliveira

Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. Researcher at the Law Institute of the same Faculty. Works in the areas of public law, administrative law, spatial planning law and urban planning law. She is a member of the Centre for the Study of Law on Planning, Urbanism and Environment (CEDOUA) and the Centre for Public Law and Regulation (CEDIPRE).

Full Professor of Administrative Law, University of Málaga (UMA). Vice-Dean of Research and Postgraduate Studies at the Faculty of Law of the UMA and Director of the Legal Magazine of Research and Educational Innovation (REJIE). Expert in renewable energy and energy efficiency.

João Catalão

Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto and Research Coordinator at INESC TEC. He has been editor of IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics and IET Renewable Power Generation.

Jorge Vasconcelos

President of NEWES, New Energy Solutions. Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, a body of the German government. Visiting Professor of the Program MIT/Portugal. He was the first president of the Regulatory Authority for Energy Services (ERSE, 1996-2006) and the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER, 2000-2005)

Lia do Valle Cavalcanti de Albuquerque

Doctoral candidate in Public Law and Master in Environmental Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra. Post-graduate degree in Animal Law in the Private Law Research Centre of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. Researcher at the Animal Purveyor’s Office in Lisbon.

Marcelo Costa de Araújo

Vice-president of CTSMART and coordinator of Cigré-Brasil’s IT and telecommunications studies committee. Electric Engineer at Eletrobras Eletronorte. He has been working in the Brazilian electric sector for 17 years and has published papers in national and international seminars. In 2018, he received the Technical Council Award from Cigré International.

Marta Nunes Vicente

Visiting assistant professor at the Porto Law School of the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University. From 2012 to 2015, she was Advisor to the Office of Judges of the Constitutional Court of Justice. She is the author and co-author of several publications in the area of energy law and regulation law, and is currently studying the constitutional instruments for the protection of investors.

Natália de Almeida Moreno

Teacher at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra. Doctoral candidate in Public Law and Master in Administrative Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra. Member of the Editorial Board of the Energy Law Journal of the Brazilian Institute of Energy Law Studies. Author of the book Smart Grids e a Modelagem Regulatória de Infraestruturas. Lawyer and Jurisconsult.

Patrícia Pereira da Silva

Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Economy of the University of Coimbra. Researcher at INESC Coimbra. Member of the Energy for Sustainability Initiative and teacher of the MIT Portugal Sustainable Energy Systems doctoral program. Founding Member of the Portuguese Association of Energy Economics (APEEN).

Paula Ferreira

Associate Professor in the Department of Production and Systems, School of Engineering, University of Minho and Researcher at ALGORITMI Research Centre. Responsible for the national and international coordination of projects in the areas of energy planning and industrial sustainability. Member of the editor panel of the scientific journals ENERGY (Elsevier), The International Journal of Sustainable Energy Planning and AIMS Energy.

Paulo Calau

Director of the Department of Industry and Mobility at ADENE – Energy Agency, where he coordinates activities to promote and implement energy efficiency in Industry and Mobility, including the operational management of the SGCIE – Energy Intensive Consumption Management System and the SEEF – Fleet Energy Labelling System.

Priscilla Maciel de Menezes

Member of the Special Energy Commission of the Federal Council of the OAB. Chairman of the Mines and Energy Law Commission of the OAB/PB. Doctoral candidate in Legal and Political Sciences from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, Master in Constitutional Law and Specialist in Energy Law, Cogeneration and Efficiency Energetics by the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra.

Roberto Galán Vioque

Titular professor of the Department of Administrative Law at the University of Seville. Secretary of the University Institute of Research García Oviedo of the University of Seville. He is the lead researcher of the Research Project Towards a New Regulation of Energies Renewables within the Energy Market (DER2017-86637-C3-1-P).

Rui Castro

Doctorate and associate professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Technical University of Lisbon (IST) and researcher at INESC-ID/IST. He teaches the Masters Courses on “Renewable Energies and Decentralized Production” and “Economy and Markets of Energy” and the Doctoral Course on “Renewable Energy Resources”.

Rui Pestana

Advisor of the System Manager division of REN – Rede Eléctrica Nacional, SA (Portuguese TSO). Responsible for the development of wind and solar forecasting tools for REN. Project leader at R&D centre NESTER. He is also a visiting professor at ISEL – Higher Institute of Engineering of Lisbon, Polytechnical Institute of Lisbon.

Vladimiro Miranda

Full Professor at the University of Porto and researcher at INESC TEC, Portugal. He has been an IEEE Fellow (USA) since 2006, having received the IEEE Renewable Energy Excellence Award in 2014. President of INESC R&D Brazil. Associate Director of INESC TEC, Portugal. Scientific Adviser of IRESEN, Ministry of Energy, Government of Morocco, among others.

Paulo Sergio de Holanda Menezes

Experienced in the area of event planning, management and logistics, he is Advisor to the Recife Convention & Visitors Bureau, where he assumed the presidency in the 2011/2012 biennium. For four years he was the President of the Brazilian Association of Event Companies of Pernambuco (ABEOC-PE) and is a member of the Tourism Council of the State of Pernambuco and of the Tourism Council of the City of Recife.

He has been involved in the organization of national and international events since 2009, with experience in the production of major international events, such as the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
